United Way's
Born Learning Academy is an innovative program focusing on early childhood parental education in Kentucky, consisting of six workshop sessions that provide parents with the tools to help their children succeed in kindergarten and beyond.
Parents of young children (prenatal to 5 years old) are engaged in hands-on activities and discussion about what it means to be ready for kindergarten and offered strategies they can use at home to maximize their child’s early learning and development.
As discussed in this month's NKY Thrives, Northern Kentucky leaders are
launching the Pre-K Works kindergarten readiness initiative in Erlanger/Elsmere Schools, with the goal of it becoming a model for districts across Northern Kentucky.
