Delta until a few years ago when a number of cutbacks affected Delta's service to CVG. Delta now only operates about 100 flights per week at the airport. This has opened the airport up to other airlines, including budget airlines like Allegiant, Frontier and now Southwest.
Passengers will be able to take one of eight daily Southwest flights from CVG to Baltimore-Washington International Airport or Chicago Midway.
