Last week, CVG received more good news:
Amazon is planning to build a $1.5 billion cargo hub at the airport. This comes on the
tail end of Southwest Airlines' announcement that it will be adding flights from CVG to Baltimore-Washington International Airport and Chicago Midway.
With the completion of the proposed 2-million-square-foot facility, Amazon will be able to rely less on UPS and FedEx for air deliveries. The hub will also house Amazon's current and future fleet of airplanes, and bring about 2,000 jobs to the area.
