Newport

The city of Newport attracts visitors and residents from across the region with its fascinating history and flair for modern progress, quite a 360-degree turn from its once-infamous days as the region's "Sin City."

Located at the confluence of the Ohio and Licking Rivers, Newport takes full advantage of the shoreline with riverboat dining, annual waterfront festivals and permanent fixtures like the spectacular Newport on the Levee and Newport Aquarium. Farther south, eclectic Monmouth Street’s retail offerings include a butcher, bicycle outfitter, antique store, law office, sports bar, coffee shop and more. Retail giants Kroger and Target anchor the fast-growing Newport Pavilion just off I-471.

Newport's residential landscape offers a mix of historic neighborhoods like East Row — dubbed "Mansion Hill" for its stunning Victorian, Italianate and colonial architecture — as well as tree-lined streets with market-rate homes and upscale condos that offer stunning views of downtown Cincinnati and the Ohio River valley.
