Alexandria is the seat of Campbell County and home to Campbell County High School. The city's roughly 10,000 residents relish in outdoor activities, many of which are offered at expansive A.J. Jolly Park. The park features hiking and biking trails, golf, horseback riding, hunting, camping and more.
 
Centrally located about 20 minutes from both CVG and downtown, Alexandria is home to large retailers, top-rated schools and communities nestled amidst scenic rural landscapes. Recent years have seen much development along busy U.S. Route 27, a contrast to the quaint shops lining Alexandria’s historic Main Street.
 
The long-running Alexandria Fair draws thousands of residents and visitors each August for carnival rides, local food and drink, derbies, horse and livestock shows and other festivities.
